A Georgia Stanway brace and a Janine Beckie strike kept the Blues on track for yet more silverware, as Nick Cushing‘s side secured a place in the semi-finals with a 3-0 win.
Beckie opened the scoring on 25 minutes with a smart interchange between Jill Scott and Nikita Parris eventually ending with Caroline Weir’s nudged pass to the Canadian forward, who fired into the roof of the net from six yards.Stanway was introduced to replace Beckie on 65 minutes and within four minutes, had doubled City’s lead.
