City have started the New Year in top form, scoring 11 goals on the road without reply and have won four games in succession.
After an injury-plagued first half of the campaign, several high profile stars have returned to training after lengthy lay-offs ā including England and City skipper Houghton.
āIād like to continue to help the team win, not just me - Lucy and others who are close to returning,ā said Houghton.
āOur numbers were low, but now we need to kick on and win as many games as we can.
āItās up to me and other experienced players to drive that, be ruthless and keep playing way we have been.
āOur aim is to always try and get that UWCL place first and foremost.
āWeāve got to play teams above us in coming weeks and itās about challenging and improving.
āThe feeling is good and our attitude is good.
āWeāve got some very good players; itās about listening to whatās happening inside the building rather than outside.
āThat was the talk after Christmas - letās kick on because, when we are playing at our best, we can beat anyone.
āWe need to keep our feet on the ground, work hard in training and take that onto the pitch.ā
