Having affiliated in November 2017, the group has enjoyed significant growth to become one of the largest European branches outside of the UK and currently boast 111 members from more than 50 cities across Russia.
They have even managed to attract fans from as far afield as Ukraine, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Spain and, despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Moscow branch have remained in regular contact.
“All our members are given access to a separate platform for communication,” explained Chairperson Anastasia Zueva.
“We also use this platform to hold a score prediction for each game with prizes given every month according to the tournament system.”
Moscow have held numerous watch along parties throughout the 2020/21 campaign and since COVID-19 restrictions have eased their thriving social scene has returned.
“We believe that our biggest achievement is the regular meetings of fans,” Anastasia added.
“Even during the pandemic, we kept our traditions and gathered for almost all matches.
“Before the return leg of our Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund, we organised a friendly mini-football game against their fans and we have now found a permanent venue where we can meet in Moscow.
“The pub even has graffiti of Oasis wearing City kits on the wall!”
