The Premier League initiative uses the power of football to inspire children to learn and develop, and tackles challenging PSHE topics such as resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair-play.
This season, EA SPORTS is proudly supporting Premier League Primary Stars by giving Premier League referee mascot experiences to primary school children across England and Wales who demonstrate one of the programme’s key values, ‘Being Fair’.
Bailey’s CITC coach, Pete Bradshaw, nominated the youngster for this once in a lifetime experience as he consistently shows empathy towards other pupils in lessons and sets the perfect example to the rest of his peers.
Dressed in his very own purple Premier League referee mascot kit, Bailey was treated to a behind the scenes tour of the Etihad Stadium before meeting his footballing heroes in the tunnel ahead of kick-off at City’s recent home match against Chelsea.
Minutes before the whistle, Bailey proudly scooped the match ball from the green and purple pedestal and led the team into position.
