Nick Cushing’s side are in North Carolina in the United States, competing in the Women’s International Champions Cup, with six summer recruits settling in.

Wullaert has been impressed with the way the new recruits have slotted in and is enjoying the positive vibes and atmosphere of the squad.
“We have some new players and they’re settling in well,” she said.
“We’re all trying to help everyone to be better and the cohesion is really good.
“We’re all working towards (the Manchester Derby on) Saturday 7 September.”
Having fallen to a dramatic, last-gasp defeat at the hands of tournament hosts the North Carolina Courage, City face Atletico Madrid in the Third Place Play-Off on Sunday (5pm EDT, 10pm BST).
With Atletico also having conceded in injury time against European Champions Lyon, Wullaert believes both sides have a little extra hunger ahead of the clash.
“It will be a good game,” she added. “I like playing against Atletico – they play football – and it will be a different game than the game against the Courage.
“We were disappointed with the defeat – it’s not nice to lose, and with two goals in the last 15 minutes.
“We’re a competitive team and we always want to win, and we want to do that tomorrow.
“I’m looking forward to it.”
Wullaert also shared her admiration for the tournament and the ideal preparation it provides for the new, hotly-anticipated 2019/20 campaign.
“It’s really nice,” she continued. “I enjoy friendly games at a high level – they prepare you for the games in the league.
“In the beginning, we were struggling with jet lag but it’s Day 6 now and we’ve managed it.
“Everyone’s enjoying it. We had a day off on Friday and it was good to relax and switch off a bit.
“We trained on Saturday to be ready for the game on Sunday.
“It’s always a pleasure to be here.”
Signed from Wolfsburg in June 2018, Wullaert is readying herself for her second season with City.
A regular name in Cushing’s starting XI last season, the Belgian midfielder is eager to push on and help her side to further silverware, following our cup double-winning success.
Asked of her personal condition in pre-season, she replied: “I’m getting there! I need a little more conditioning but I’m fine.
“I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow and then next week, we’re on international break.
“We’ll see how it goes.”
