TEAM NEWS
City: Sergio Aguero will remained side-lined for several weeks following the knee injury which ruled our record scorer out for the final two months of the 2019/20 campaign.
Aymeric Laporte has only just returned to training and misses the game.
Riyad Mahrez has returned to training and is available.
There could be potential debuts if summer signings Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres who both joined the Club in August, feature in the fixture.
Wolves: The West Midlands side will definitely be without Jonny Otto who is a long-term injury casualty after the Spanish defender injured his anterior cruciate ligament in a Europa League win over Olympiakos last month.
Pep Guardiola preview
“Sergio hasn’t made one training session with us yet.
“Riyad came back three or four days ago and is training. Today is the first day Aymeric is back. Mahrez is available for Wolves, Laporte not yet.
“Wolves are always a difficult opponent. In my first season they were in the Championship and it went to penalties - but Premier League, we know how tough it is.”

Last meeting
Wolves came out on top in an incident-packed clash at Molineux in December 2019.
Raheem Sterling claimed a brace for City but with Pep Guardiola‘s side reduced to 10-men after the early dismissal of goalkeeper Ederson, Wolves claimed the points thanks to second half goals from Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez and Matt Doherty.
FORM GUIDE
City: We won ten of our 14 games in all competitions following the return of football in June and were in fine form in front of goal, scoring 39 times and conceding just nine goals when our campaign ended in mid August.
Wolves: Wolves finished the 2019/20 season in seventh place for a second successive year. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side began the 2020/21 season in impressive fashion, recording a fine 2-0 win at Sheffield United last Monday, but lost 1-0 to Stoke in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
